The sponsor children in Compassion's program get access to medical care and treatment, nutritious food, education, a safe place to play and learn, the opportunity to know how much God loves them and much more.
Children and families who receive help from Compassion rarely receive cash. The help is almost always in the form of goods and services, carefully designed, delivered or purchased according to their needs. Staff from the local church are responsible for managing this process and implementing the program under the supervision of staff from Compassion's national office in the country.
Compassion has a global audit function that routinely monitors the financial and operational integrity of our centers and field offices worldwide. Through these reviews, we strive to ensure that all programs meet our requirements for financial responsibility and programmatic integrity. Any problems that are brought to our attention are documented by staff and management for careful consideration, action and follow-up.
